Getting started
What is KartCoach?
KartCoach turns your kart telemetry into corner-by-corner analysis and AI-powered coaching, and connects you with professional coaches. It works with AiM MyChron devices and Alfano data loggers.
What hardware do I need?
KartCoach works with AiM MyChron (via WiFi) and Alfano 6/7 data loggers (via file import). You can review sessions, lap times, and coaching insights in the app.
Connecting your device
How do I connect my AiM MyChron?
Power on your MyChron and enable its WiFi. On your iPhone, open Settings → Wi-Fi and join the MyChron's network. Then open KartCoach, go to the Upload/Connect screen, and select your device — your sessions will transfer over WiFi. Keep the device close to your phone during transfer.
My MyChron won't connect — what should I check?
Confirm the MyChron's WiFi is turned on and that your iPhone has joined the MyChron network in iOS Settings. Keep the device within a few feet of your phone. If discovery stalls, fully close and reopen KartCoach and try again. Make sure no VPN is active on your phone.
How do I import data from my Alfano logger?
Export your session from the Alfano ADA software on your computer as a .zip file. Transfer that .zip to your iPhone (AirDrop, email, or Files). In KartCoach, use the Upload/Import option and select the Alfano .zip — the app reads every lap and builds your telemetry and coaching automatically.
My Alfano file didn't import correctly.
Make sure you're importing the original .zip exported from the Alfano ADA software (not individual CSV files and not a modified archive). If it still doesn't load, email [email protected] and attach the .zip and we'll take a look.
Coaching, friends, and modes
How do I switch between Driver mode and Coach mode?
Use the Driver/Coach toggle in the app's settings. Driver mode is for analyzing your own sessions and getting coaching; Coach mode lets you manage drivers, review their sessions, and deliver coaching.
How do I add a friend?
In the app you can add friends and share your best lap records by track with them, so you can compare your times. Open the friends/social section, add a friend, and your shared lap records become visible to each other.
How does coaching work, and what does it cost coaches?
Drivers can book coaching through the app, and payments are handled securely in-app. Coaches keep the majority of each booking; KartCoach charges a platform fee of 7% on coach earnings to operate the marketplace and payment processing. Coaches set up payouts through our payment provider.
Subscription and account
What does KartCoach cost?
KartCoach Pro includes a 7-day free trial, then $4.99/month or $49.99/year. Browsing coaches is free.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → KartCoach. If you cancel during the free trial you won't be charged. Your subscription continues until the end of the current billing period.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account directly in the app under Settings → account options. This permanently removes your account and associated data. If you need help, email [email protected].
How is my telemetry data used?
Your telemetry is used to generate your lap analysis and coaching insights, and (if you choose to share lap records or work with a coach) to provide those features. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
